CABIN
This style is often described as a rugged response to the colder, harsher climate found in the mountains. It is characterized by steep roofs, the expression of a strong, heavy timber structure, and rugged stonework. The exterior is often composed of round logs, squared heavy timbers, or stout wood planking with one or more stone chimneys that form a vertical anchor to the earth.
Cabin Residence In Pine Canyon:
For this project, the owner wished to create an authentic, rustic rendition of a classic mountain cabin, but with modern conveniences and a contemporary layout. The cabin has three levels connected by a winding, wooden stair. The main level has a great room, kitchen, dining area and the master suite, with the guest bedrooms located on the upper level, and a rec room and bunks for grandchildren located on the lower level. Both the main level and lower level feature an outdoor covered deck with views to the adjacent golf course and natural forest beyond.
This home has been featured in several magazines.

Mountain Cabin at Springy Point:
This waterfront modern cabin features a tri-level plan that feels very open and spacious and where all of the levels have a view to the adjacent lake. A winding stone stair leads to the lake where a dock and boat lift are located.

Cabin Residence In Lahonton:
This golf course cabin is a modern interpretation of a classic home featuring heavy timber construction, covered patios, large overhangs to shed snow, and a view to the adjacent golf course.

Mountain Cabin Wisconsin:
This classic two level cabin home is situated on a large lot with views of a pond in front through a covered patio. The great room, kitchen, dining, study and master suite are on the main level with a rec room and guest suites on the lower level.

Cabin Renderings – Idaho:
These renderings are of three concept homes for a forest, mountain setting. The first one is constructed with heavy, interlocking timbers with a steeply pitched roof to reflect the forest. The second one is a cabin interpretation of a rustic, mountain mining operation, and the third one is a classic rendition of a cottage located in a high mountain meadow.
